James Jakes, using a different tire strategy, opting to finish on the alternates and held off Mike Conway to take second place. Conway, winner from Dual 1 on Saturday, again ran a very strong race to take third place on the primaries.
From race winner Simon Pagenaud, #77 Schmidt Hamilton Motorsports Dallara/Honda/Firestone: “The car was super-fast and the (Firestone primary) black tires were very good today. The (Firestone alternate) reds were just perfect and worked really well at the beginning of the race."
